The City of Pleasanton is well on its way to becoming the greenest city in California. That may seem like a herculean feat, but the City is well poised to meet that goal. For years, the City has been incorporating sustainability principles into all of its operations. Some of these examples include installing solar on municipal buildings, establishing pedestrian/bike-friendly streets and trails, supporting "green businesses", reducing the City's energy and water use, following Bay Friendly landscape guidelines and employing environmentally-friendly pest management practices -- the list goes on.
